Career Opportunities
REACH Instructor/ DSP – FULL TIME
Starting at $20 per hour (based on experience), with a $1 increase after obtaining PACE certification.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead group activities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Assist with member supports (mobility, eating, restroom)
- Bring a team spirit to promote engagement, ensuring that our members are included in activities, are safely monitored, and having a positive experience
- Complete administrative and program recordkeeping such as monitoring and tracking members’ participation, responses, and progress, incident reports, behavior logs, and any other required paperwork, as needed
- Assist Program Supervisor with developing specific curriculum and lesson plans for REACH programs
- Transport members to and from the facility in CEL vehicles
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One year of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (preferred)
- Experience with leading groups/teams (preferred)
- Ability to drive CEL vehicles (required – training provided)
- Ability to qualify as a PACE driver (strongly preferred, additional paid training provided)
- Ability to be a team player with a positive attitude and an ability to work with all types of personalities
- Valid driver’s license and daily access to an automobile in working condition or adequate alternative transportation
- Must be at least 21 years of age

Activity/ Recreation Instructors – PART TIME
Starting pay is $19 per hour for individuals aged 18 to 20 or those not driving CEL vehicles. For employees 21 and older who are qualified drivers (with training provided), the starting pay is $20 per hour.

What You’ll Do:
- Actively assist and lead group activities for teens and adults with developmental disabilities, creating a fun and positive environment for members to thrive.
- Offer valuable feedback to the program team on member engagement and input.
- Facilitate opportunities for members in the community by driving CEL vehicles (if over 21) to destinations and serve as a role model to promote community inclusion.
- Represent CEL and its philosophy by executing our mission on all levels of service, including promotion of member rights, dignity, confidentiality & self-determination.
What You Have:
- One year of experience with people who have intellectual or developmental disabilities (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and be willing to drive CEL vehicles (if 21 and older); –training provided
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends.
- Aptitude in working with current technology, including virtual platforms and other online apps
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must be at least 18 years of age
