Career Opportunities
REACH Instructor/DSP – FULL TIME
Starts $20 per hour (based on experience)

What You’ll Do
- Plan and lead group activities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Assist with member supports (mobility, eating, restroom)
- Bring a team spirit to promote engagement, ensuring that our members are included in activities, are safely monitored, and having a positive experience
- Complete administrative and program recordkeeping such as monitoring and tracking members’ participation, responses, and progress, incident reports, behavior logs, and any other required paperwork, as needed
- Assist Program Supervisor with developing specific curriculum and lesson plans for REACH programs
- Transport members to and from the facility in CEL vehicles
What You Have:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One year of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (preferred)
- Experience with leading groups/teams (preferred)
- Ability to drive CEL vehicles (required – training provided)
- Ability to qualify as a PACE driver (strongly preferred, additional paid training provided)
- Ability to be a team player with a positive attitude and an ability to work with all types of personalities
- Valid driver’s license and daily access to an automobile in working condition or adequate alternative transportation
- Must be at least 21 years of age

Support Services Coordinator – FULL TIME
$22-25 per hour (based on experience)

What You’ll Do:
- Process payments and handle accounts receivable process for all member programs
- Ensure invoices are sent and collections handled within deadlines
- Serve as first point of contact and provide support for all staff regarding IT issues
- Ensure that necessary workspace, software, and equipment is in place for new and current employees
- Maintain vehicles: coordinate and document repairs/inspections, ensure that insurance, placards and gas cards are updated timely
- Oversee PACE driver program, e. new drivers, random testing, documentation, etc.
- Provide backup for check processing and bank deposits as necessary
- Cover reception desk as needed
What You Have:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all types of personalities
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize job functions in fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Word processing, Spreadsheets, Accounts Receivable, Email, Database software, Internet software; Raiser’s Edge experience a plus
- Strong aptitude for learning/understanding various technological devices and platforms
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Associates degree and three years of related experience and/or training; or a minimum of five years’ experience in an administrative capacity
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Activity/ Recreation Instructors – PART TIME
Starting pay is $19 per hour for individuals aged 18 to 20 or those not driving CEL vehicles. For employees 21 and older who are qualified drivers (with training provided), the starting pay is $20 per hour.

What You’ll Do:
- Actively assist and lead group activities for teens and adults with developmental disabilities, creating a fun and positive environment for members to thrive.
- Offer valuable feedback to the program team on member engagement and input.
- Facilitate opportunities for members in the community by driving CEL vehicles (if over 21) to destinations and serve as a role model to promote community inclusion.
- Represent CEL and its philosophy by executing our mission on all levels of service, including promotion of member rights, dignity, confidentiality & self-determination.
What You Have:
- One year of experience with people who have intellectual or developmental disabilities (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and be willing to drive CEL vehicles (if 21 and older); –training provided
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends.
- Aptitude in working with current technology, including virtual platforms and other online apps
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – FULL TIME
Salary Range $65,000-$75,000

What You’ll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to understand the mental health needs of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and their families.
- Utilize appropriate diagnostic tools and criteria to identify mental health disorders and co-occurring conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices tailored to the needs of individuals with IDD.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy to address emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, support staff, and community resources to ensure holistic care.
- Assist individuals and families in navigating systems of care, including social services, educational resources, and healthcare.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to social work interns to enhance their professional development.
- Ensure confidentiality and ethical practice in all aspects of service delivery.
- Prepare clear, concise treatment and progress notes that align with the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics. Develop discharge plans and follow-up care to ensure continuity of services.
- Utilize the appropriate electronic medical record and billing system in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Complete required reports and statistics for CEL reporting.
What You Have:
- Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited institution and a current/valid LCSW Illinois clinical license.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Strong understanding of IDD and related mental health challenges.
- Proficiency in therapeutic interventions and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client schedules.
