Building Community, One Can at a Time

CEL Donates to Vernon Township Food Pantry

We’re so grateful to be part of a community that always shows up for one another, especially when we can support other important organizations. Over the last month, you all rallied together to collect essential items like canned veggies, diapers, pasta, and more for our friends at the Vernon Township Food Pantry to share with individuals and families in need.

Flyers were hung throughout the building to encourage donations and everyone enjoyed watching the stack of supplies grow. It’s important for CEL members to understand their positive impact on the larger community, and the role they play in it.

Catalyst members had the honor of making the drop-off to the pantry, then stayed to help organize and stock the shelves to ensure that our neighbors in need can have access to everyday essentials.

Catalyst member Jenny shared why she enjoys giving back to the community, saying, “I love volunteering at the food pantry/ I love helping out people because it makes me feel good.”

Vernon Township Supervisor Tim Kobler shared his appreciation for CEL’s generous support, saying, “We greatly appreciate the generous donations from the Center for Enriched Living and for staying to help volunteer. The donation of time and resources is greatly appreciated. Thank you!”

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this effort led by our Community Engagement Coordinator, Cassidy.
